What a fantastic Tahoe Donner vacation retreat! This 3 bedroom plus den/family room, 2.5 bath home will sleep 8 comfortably plus one more on a pull out single bed. Bedding includes a King in the master suite upstairs, Queen in the 2nd and 3rd bedrooms downstairs, a Bunk Bed in the den/family room, also downstairs, and a roll away single bed located in the downstairs bedroom. The den/family room also has a TV, and a slider door leading out to a lower deck with a hot tub and nice views of the Carson Range and Northstar. Amazing at sunset!
The master suite upstairs features a large bedroom with a walk-in closet, a writing desk overlooking the ridge line above Sunrise Bowl, and a huge master bath with a large, separate shower enclosure and a jetted spa tub overlooking the Carson Range. In addition to the master suite, the upstairs level offers an open and inviting living room with gas fireplace, new 47" HDTV and DVD, dining area, and nicely updated kitchen. From this level, enjoy 270 degree, panoramic vistas of the Carson Range and Northstar, the Tahoe Donner downhill ski area, and the entire ridge line above Sunrise Bowl. You can experience both stunning sunrise and sunset views from the living room! This home has an attached 2 car garage, WiFi internet access, BBQ on the back deck, and is just a couple blocks from the Tahoe Donner cross country ski/equestrian center, and about 1 mile to the downhill ski area.
Tahoe Donner is a wonderful, mountainous resort community with its own small downhill ski area, a fantastic cross country ski center, a sledding hill, small market/deli, and Recreation Center. The Rec Center offers hot tubs, heated pool, fitness center, saunas, health spa, tennis courts, downhill and cross country ski resorts, equestrian center, Golf Club with 18-hole course and driving range, a public restaurant (The Lodge at Tahoe Donner), and a private beach on Donner Lake. Tahoe Donner is conveniently situated at the upper west end of Truckee. It is 5 minutes to downtown shopping and restaurants, and 10-30 minutes to ski area resorts including Tahoe Donner, Northstar at Tahoe, Squaw, Alpine Meadows, Sugarbowl, Soda Spring, Donner Ski Ranch, and Royal Gorge Cross Country Center.
This rental includes access cards for the Tahoe Donner Recreation Center resident amenities. A nominal charge applies for some activities.

Enjoyable Stay at Stockholm Vista

Beautiful home with great views out of every window. Night time star views were spectacular from both upstairs decks. Loved the hot tub. When we needed lightbulb replacements, service was quick and complete. Location was great for Norhtstar. Could have used one more non-stick fry pan, but this is really searching to find least liked. We'd be very happy to stay here the next time. Our agent, Dave, was most helpful and made us feel right at home.

This property offered a perfect winter getaway for our family. The adults were able to relax while taking in the panoramic views, and the kids had fun playing hide and seek in the many large closets. We were able to simple step outside and sled in the yard rather than have to fuss over piling in the car. However, we did opt to pile in the car, because just a short drive was the nicely set up rec center and downhill slopes. And, I can?t forget to mention, the lovely morning and evening soaks in the hot tub while watching the snow fall. Overall, we look forward to returning.

We really enjoyed this property. We have stayed at numerous vacations homes in this area but we loved the floorplan of this home and the convenience of the home to the ski area. It snowed heavily during our stay and the children enjoyed the backyard and all the snow. We will choose this property when we return.

We were a group of 4 adults and 4 children. The house had everything we needed for a Christmas break; a well fitted kitchen, lots of space and a large TV. We could see Tahoe Donner ski resort from the window as well as other mountains in a panoramic view. Hot tub worked well. would certainly recommend this place to others. the only thing we couldn't figure out how to warm up the downstairs bedrooms but that didn't really matter.
